Kom-Emine Trail Running this Summer

We are happy to announce that our colleague Kaloyan Peychev will be guiding a trail running event this summer – the traverse of the Balkan Mountains along the famous Kom-Emine route, part of the E3 International Long Distance Trail. The team will do part 1 of the route – Western and Central Balkan Mountains, for the duration of 6 days from June 22nd to June 27th. Read more about the European Long Distance Walking Paths in Bulgaria here.
These are the highest and most scenic parts of the whole mountain chain – the longest one in Bulgaria. Beautiful forest paths and wide, open, grassy ridges, steep ascents and descents and long flat sections, perfect for running.
Planned distance 45-55km per day with D+ 1500-2500m. Maximum participants 6 (1 of 6 so far). Price depends on the number of participants. For more info please email us.
The participants should be very fit for this route and have minimum experience in mountain marathons and trail running on long distances. One should be able to cover 50km and 1500m D+ each day in around 10-11h with running and fast walking.
