Damyan Petkov

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

Professional experience: He graduated on a climbing instructor course in 2009 and made his first steps as an assistаnt instructor in climbing. At the same year he led clients at Mont Blanc. In 2010 he finished his training as mountain leader. Most of the time he spends in the mountains around Bulgaria and Europe – the Alps with friends or clients.

 

Experience in the mountains: Since his childhood he has been exploring the mountains in Bulgaria. In 2007 started climbing and fell in love with it. Afterwards he became passionate climber practicing all kinds of climbing and set new routes in Bulgaria and Serbia. Few years later he discovered the freeriding and since then the facilities in ski areas are useless in his outdoor experience.

 

Interests: hiking, rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, living out in the nature.

 

Qualifications:

2017 – Mountain Leader Award № 045804, reg. number: 90-54/2017, Mountains and People Association;
2019 – Climbing Instructor certificate N 15/2009 by Bulgarian Climbing and Mountaineering Federation;
2000 – Lifeguard certificate by the Bulgarian Red Cross;
2000 – Driving license, active driver.
