Reviews for this guide:

Eric Durand, Australia: We did 3 days hike in the Rila mountains with Rus and my 4 kids ages 12 to 20. We had a great time with Rus. Run is very professional and knowledgeable and adds some sense of humour to the hiking experience. It was great for my Australian kids to discover a beautiful part of Bulgaria and Rus really helped that. We have plenty of laughs and when got a bit tough for the kids Rus really encouraged them which was really good. I thoroughly recommend Rus for any hiking trip and I hope to do one again with him.

Ulrika Starkenberg, Norway: We are very satisfied with the plan and service from Hiking Guide Bulgaria to Pirin and Rila Mountains and Rila Monestary. Rus, our guide, did an excellent job. Rus was a very nice, good and knowledgeable guide, told us a lot of history, flexibel regarding the weather and changer of plans because of the weather. Add to the original plan we saw Ivans Cave, enjoyed the natural hot mineral Baths and the evening at Deshka House will be a life time memory.

Cameron, Australia: I recently returned from several days in the Rila Mountains, where my friend and I were guided by Rus. We could not have asked for a better and more competent guide, he was knowledgeable and patient and really helped to make our trip as great as it was. A great sense of humour meant that the hike was full of laughs! It felt like we had known Rus for a long time as friends – thanks for a great time, highly recommended.

Steve, U.S.A: Some friends and I did a week of hiking in the Rila and Pirin mountains in Bulgaria in Septemeber 2017.  Rus and his partner Lyuben Grancharov were our guides.  They did an excellent job of guiding and were fun to be with as well.  I’d be happy to do another trip with either or both of them.

Carmen: I visited Bulgaria in Juy 2017 and Rus was our guide. He did a very good job guiding us in Sofia, Rilla Mountains and the 7 lakes. He is a professional person with sense of humor and fun to be around. I will surely use his service and recommend him whenever I go back to Bulgaria.
