Currently we offer a couple of guidebooks: The Kom-Emine Guidebook (The Bulgarian part of the E3 International Long Distance Route); E4 Tourist Route in Bulgaria; Skiing the Balkans – ski touring routes in the mountains of Bulgaria and the Vratsa Climbing Guidebook.

List of the maps:

Map of Rila Mountains. Contains information about Rila National Park, climate, biodiversity and wildlife, winter and summer tourist routes. All the hiking trails are shown in color and all the names are given in Bulgarian language and in Latin transcription. The map is scaled 1: 50 000, contour lines in 50 meters. Issued in 2014 by Domino.

Map of Pirin Mountains. Мap of the northern parts of Pirin Mountains, which is the most popular and interesting hiking area – including The Marble Ridge, Mount Vihren, the areas of Melnik, Bezbog and Tevno Ezero Hut. All the tourist hiking trails are shown in colour and all the information is given both in Bulgarian and English languages. The map is scaled 1: 50 000, with contour lines every 40 meters. Issued in 2014 by Domino.

Map of Vitosha Mountains, located near Sofia. All the tourist hiking trails are shown in colour and all the information is given both in Bulgarian and English languages. The map is scaled 1: 25 000, with contour lines every 50 metres. Issued in 2015 by Domino.

Map of Strandza Mountains. Contains information about Strandza Nature Park, Vitanovo Reserve, Sredoka Reserve, Tisovitsa Reserve, Siloksia Reserve, Lopushna (Uzunbodzak) Reserve and Ropotamo Reserve. All the hiking trails are shown in color and all the names are given in Bulgarian language and in Latin transcription. The map is scaled 1: 100 000. Issued in 2015 by Domino.

Map of Central Balkan Mountains. Map of the central parts of Balkan Mountains or Stara Planina – Troyanski Balkan, including Mount Botev, Mount Triglav, Mount Vezhen and Beklemeto Pass. All the hiking trails are shown in colour and all the names are given in Bulgarian language and in Latin transcription. The map is scaled 1: 50 000, with contour lines in 20 metres. Issued in 2013 by Domino.

Map of Western Rhodope Mountains, including Batak Dam, Beglika Dam, Dospat Dam, Trigrad Gorge, Jagodina Gorge, the town of Devin, the Wonderful Bridges, the town of Smolyan, the villages of Shiroka Luka and Gela, Mount Perelik, Pamporovo ski resort. Contains information about Rhodope Mountains – climate, relief, wildlife and biodiversity; tourist routes and places to stay: huts, camping sites, etc. (in Bulgarian and English). All the hiking trails are shown in color and all the names are given in Bulgarian language and in Latin transcription. The map is scaled 1: 100 000. Issued in 2011 by Domino.

Map of Eastern Rhodope Mountains. Contains information in Bulgarian and English about the history and photos of 88 tourist sites in the Eastern Rhodopes; history and nature of the town of Zlatograd (also map of Zlatograd). Information about and scheme of the Thracian site of Perperikon; information, photos and history of the Thracian complex near Tatul village. All the hiking trails are shown in color and all the names are given in Bulgarian language and in Latin transcription. The map is scaled 1: 120 000. Issued in 2011 by Domino.

Hiking Map of Olympus Mountains, Greece. Scale 1:25 000 (4cm=1km); Contour interval 20m. Covers the northern part of Olympus Mountains, including its highest point Mount Mytikas (2917 m), The Muses Plateau, Mount Stefani, E4 international trekking route Litochoro-Skala-Kokinoplos and O2 Route – Skolio col-Karia. All the main hiking trails are shown on the map. Detailed descriptions in English about the routes, huts and sights are available on the back side of the map. Latest edition 2011 by Anavasi.

Northern Pirin Map. Created by Iskartour publishing house in 2015. Scale 1:25 000, with contour lines by 1o meters and with the following sizes: 12/22 cm folded and 100/70 cm expanded. The map shows the most popular parts of these mountains and covers the most interesting hiking routes. Important: the Pirin map does NOT includes the areas of the town of Melnik, Kamenitza and Pirin huts, i.e. the most southern parts of Northern Pirin. GPS coordinates and information for some characteristic locations, peaks, passes and other important points is included on the back side of the map. The map is in a transparent plastic pocket and has a scale line for measurement of the GPS-coordinates and distances.

Southern Pirin Map. Created by Iskartour publishing house in 2016. Scale 1:25 000, with contour lines by 1o meters and with the following sizes: 12/22 cm folded and 100/70 cm expanded. The map includes the areas of the village of Rozhen, Rozhen Monastery, Kamenitza and Pirin huts. GPS coordinates and information for some characteristic locations, peaks, passes and other important points is included on the back side of the map. The map is in a transparent plastic pocket and has a scale line for measurement of the GPS-coordinates and distances.

Northwestern Rila Map. Created by Iskartour publishing house in 2015. Scale 1:25 000, with contour lines by 1o meters and with the following sizes: 12/22 cm folded and 100/70 cm expanded. The map shows the marked walking routes and trails, the mountain huts and shelters locations, the boundaries of the protected areas, the ski areas, etc. Northwestern Rila includes the famous areas of the Seven Rila Lakes, Malyovitsa, Skakavitsa Waterfall, the Rila Monastery area. GPS coordinates and information for some characteristic locations, peaks, passes and other important points is included on the back side of the map. The map is in a transparent plastic pocket and has a scale line for measurement of the GPS-coordinates and distances.

Eastern and Central Rila Map. Created by Iskartour publishing house in 2016. Scale 1:25 000, with contour lines by 1o meters and with the following sizes: 12/22 cm folded and 100/70 cm expanded. The map shows the marked walking routes and trails, the mountain huts and shelters locations, the boundaries of the protected areas, the ski areas, etc. Eastern and Central Rila includes: Rila National Park, Rila Monastery Nature Park; Central Rila Reserve, Ibar Reserve, Parangalitsa Reserve; the Borovets ski area, including the Borovets Mountain Bike Park – the bike routes are shown in different colors according to their difficulty level; the area of Mount Musala above Borovets, with the walking routes to ascent the peak of Musala; the area of Granchar Hut and Beli Iskar Dam; the area of Belmeken Hut and Belmeken Dam; the area of Semkovo and the Dansing Bears Park; partially the areas of Macedonia Hut and Ribni Lakes Hut. Balkan Mountains E3 Route Set (5 maps). Set of five maps that covers the Bulgarian part of the E3 international long distance hiking route. The set includes:

Part 1: Map of the central parts of Balkan Mountains or Stara Planina – Troyanski Balkan, including Mount Botev, Mount Triglav, Mount Vezhen and Beklemeto Pass.

Part 2: Middle Stara Planina – from Uzana Hut to Vratnik Pass, Central Balkan National Park.

Part 3: Western Stara Planina (Balkan Mountains) – From the town of Belogradchik to the town of Berkovitsa, Chuprene Reserve, Dragomansko Blato,

Part 4: Western Stara Planina (Balkan Mountains) – From the town of Berkovitsa to the town of Zlatitsa – Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park.

Part 5: The Domino map Vratnik Pass to Cape Emine is still not issued, so not included in this set. In exchange, we include in the only available map of this region: 1:50 000 Daskotna – Emine map, issued by Oilaripi.

Hello, does the “Eastern and Central Rila Map” include Borovets, Musala and the Rila Lakes?

I am currently in Sofia and would like to buy a map of the Rila mountains before i go hiking there in two days time. Would you be able to let me know the names of shops in Sofia which stock a version of this map in English?

me and friends are planning on hiking bulgaria in the summer.
we will like to purcher bulgarian hiking maps to the rila mountain and Rhodope Mountains…do you have them in english?
would you suggest to hike one area? or it’s possible to combine in a 10 days trek the two areas?
we’d like to hear your suggestion
